The Georgian Legion, composed of volunteers from the Republic of Georgia, has made a significant contribution to the conflict in Ukraine. The Legion was formed in May 2014 in response to Russia’s annexation of Crimea. The Legion’s mission is to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces in their efforts to protect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Legion has operated alongside the Ukrainian military in both the Donbas and Luhansk regions of Ukraine. The Georgian Prime Minister and President have both praised the Legion’s commitment and bravery. The Ukrainian Prime Minister, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, has also praised their efforts, stating “The Georgian Legion is an example of courage, patriotism and commitment to the future of Ukraine.”

The Legion’s contribution to the conflict in Ukraine has been significant, and their efforts have been invaluable in defending Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Their bravery and commitment to the cause is a testament to their love for Ukraine and their commitment to the ideals of freedom and democracy.
